Brisbane family law solicitors
Separation is legal, emotional and financial, all at once
Decisions about your children, your home, a family business and your financial security are rarely separate. Legal advice on its own often leaves the rest for you to work out. At Florens, the people who can help with each part work together, so you can make clear decisions and move forward with confidence.

Common questions
Questions you may have
What happens on the discovery call?
You will speak with Sami, our Client Services Manager, for 30 minutes about your situation, what matters most to you and the right next step. If you choose to go ahead, we will book your first consultation with one of our family lawyers.
Will I get legal advice on the free call?
No. The discovery call is with our client services team, not a lawyer, so we cannot give legal advice on it. It is about getting to know your matter and whether we are the right fit. Advice is given by a lawyer in your first consultation, once we have the full picture.
What does it cost?
The discovery call is free. Your first consultation is a paid one hour appointment covering advice and pricing, and we will confirm the fee before you book. From there, your costs are set out in a cost agreement before any work begins.
Do you offer Legal Aid?
We do not offer Legal Aid. We do accept JustFund third party funding, and other funding options may be available.
Can you help if my separation involves a business or trust?
Yes. Our team includes senior expertise in commercial law, mediation and dispute resolution. We can coordinate with your accountant, financial adviser or business adviser where needed.
Do I need to come into the office?
No. You can meet us in person at our Coorparoo or Bulimba offices, by appointment, or online.
Is my enquiry confidential?
Yes. Your enquiry is handled confidentially by our client services team and our lawyers.
How quickly can I speak with someone?
During business hours, we aim to call you back within minutes of your enquiry. You can also book a discovery call time online straight away.
